Another security camera, this one with a "corridor" mode

Keen on beefing up the security around your workplace? This camera has a few handy features that might be worth looking at.

One of the cheapest and easiest ways to mitigate some of the risks associated with theft is to invest in security cameras. They can help in two ways: as a deterrent and for recovery of stolen goods.

We've looked several cameras in the past. Another one that's grabbed our attention is Axis Communications' neww AXIS M1025, an indoor, network camera.

The camera has support for HDMI output (Micro) for live streaming onto a monitor at HDTV 720p, support for memory card to store videos, a Corridor Format that optimises the surveillance of narrow corridors and aisles, and support for Power over Ethernet in addition to DC power.

It also supports the AXIS Video Hosting System with one-click camera connection, making the camera ideal for a hosted video solution. It's expected to be available in Q1 2014 through Axis distribution channels at a suggested retail price of $330.
