If you are looking for a phone recommended for rural and regional areas, this is another one for your list.
Sony's latest high-end 4G Android smartphone, the Xperia Z2, has received Telstra's Blue Tick, which means it is recommended for use in rural and regional areas where phone towers are likely to be further away than they are in urban areas.
The Xperia Z2 features a 5.2in 1920x1080 (HD) display with a wide viewing angle, a 20.7MP camera with 4K video, digital noise cancellation when used with Sony's MDR-NC31EM headphones, NFC, and a speedy processor.
It's also waterproof in fresh water to 1.5m and is dust resistant - just make sure all the slot covers are firmly closed!
Telstra offers the Xperia Z2 for $10 per month over 24 months when combined with a $60 Business Performance Plan, which includes 1GB of data, unlimited SMS, and '$600' of voice calls and MMS (we couldn't find the nominal prices of these services, only that the standard two-minute call costs $2.38).
If you prefer to buy your phones outright, the Xperia Z2 costs $672.
