Xero users can now get deep business insights quickly with Microsoft's powerful business intelligence suite.
Xero's new content pack for Microsoft Power BI includes 25 pre-built business intelligence 'tiles' (or data visualisations) that reveal key business metrics including revenue versus expenses, profit/loss trend, debtor days and return on investment.
The information is delivered in the form of a customisable interactive dashboard plus more detailed reports. Natural language queries can be constructed and added to the dashboard.
"Business tools today are smarter and more connected than ever and finally available to the small business sector," said Xero general manager for global strategic partnerships James Maiocco.
"We're delighted to further integrate with Microsoft Power BI to give our users enterprise-ready tools to analyse information from Xero to make smart, informed decisions."
CEO of business financial and management consultancy firm Sequel VCFO, David Boyar, said: "Imagine that you can show your client the performance of their entire business in a single dashboard. That is proper game changing. That's why the Xero integration is so important because finance data holds it all together and has the accountability."
The Xero content pack works with the free tier of Power BI.
Power BI connects to a variety of other sources, including Microsoft Access and Exchange; Comscore, Google Analytics and Webtrends; MailChimp; QuickBooks Onlie; Microsoft Dynamics; and Facebook.
