PR professional Wendy McWilliams has published a list of basic tips for describing your business. The purpose is to quickly inform recipients - perhaps journalists - about your business.
 
McWilliams' advice is to start with "a list of 5-6 impressive facts about your organisation".
 
While almost everyone knows names such as Apple, Kraft and Toyota, few small businesses have any real name recognition unless they are franchisees. This is just one small part of helping the wider world understand your business.
