Two Space makes use of restaurants' downtime to provide co-working spaces with a difference.
Some people are most productive in a quiet, private environment. Others thrive on the buzz of a busy workplace. Those in the latter category that run a microbusiness or who are just getting a startup off the ground can find that in a co-working space.
Most of share workspaces we've seen are either converted industrial spaces or office premises.
But someone's noticed that restaurants often sit idle during the day. Given the way many people are happy to sit and work in cafes, couldn't all those restaurant tables be put to use?
Enter Two Space, which aims to match restaurants that are under-utilised during the day with freelancers and entrepreneurs looking for attractive and conveniently located co-working spaces.
The microbusinesses gain pleasant surroundings and the restaurants already look busy at opening time and may find their 'tenants' turn into customers.
Two Space opens on Monday 10 October with the Casoni restaurant in Darlinghurst, Sydney.
The company plans to expand around Sydney and to Melbourne and Singapore.
So this could be a business to watch whether you're in the hospitality trade or looking for somewhere to work.
