Designers, publishers: Adobe Creative Cloud for teams is here

If you work in a creative team, the new Adobe Creative Cloud for teams offers some advantages over the regular personal edition. See how much it costs.

The basic idea behind Adobe Creative Cloud seems to be to persuade customers to switch from perpetual to subscription licensing.

Adobe has come in for some criticism for making some new features available to Creative Cloud subscribers but not to Creative Suite licensees.

So what does the new Adobe Creative Cloud for teams include?
  • the features of the individual version (Adobe's CS6 applications such as Photoshop and InDesign, plus Acrobat XI, Lightroom 4, and additional tools and services)
  • extra online storage (100GB per user compared with the 20GB for personal subscribers)
  • two 'Expert Services' support calls per seat
  • tools for centralised licence administration
The per-user fee is $87.49 per month on an annual plan, compared with $62.99 for individual subscriptions.

A discounted rate of $62.99 is available to organisations with volume licences for Creative Suite 3 or later, and Creative Cloud Team Ready subscribers will be invited to upgrade to Creative Cloud for teams.
