Video: How to cut your office printing costs in half

You might be surprised at how easy it is to slash your office printing bill. This video, brought to you in association with Oki, introduces you to a few basic concepts

It's tempting to buy the cheapest printer possible, and it's easy to keep rolling out prints in full colour, even when you don't need colour.

Take a bit of care though, and you could be saving yourself, or your boss (which can only be a good thing, right?), quite a bit of money.

As Sholto Macpherson explains in the video below, it's possible to save three to four times the difference in price between a cheap-as-chips printer and a more expensive model.

In this video we introduce you to a few basic concepts like TCO, pages per cartridge, and steps to start cutting down on bad printing habits around the office, including:

  • How to disable colour printing in Windows 7
  • Enforce B&W printing for people on your network using a colour access policy manager
  • The benefits of signing a printing contracts instead of buying and setting up all the bits and pieces yourself.

This video brought to you in association with Oki.
