This is an American wall-mounted power point with USB ports built in, so you don't need to worry about also plugging in a separate USB charger. We're not aware of similar USB wall outlets being used in Australia yet (if they are, let us know by adding a comment below on this page), although Bunnings sells power boards with USB ports. [UPDATE: Someone else has emailed us with this to say: "...not one of alectros wall plates are combined with 240v power and would rely on an additional power source from the computer and you can't charge your phone without connecting the USB to another power source, it is completely misleading and should be removed as you are advising something that is a different product all together."
