Photos: See inside a "warm and inviting" credit union branch
It could be a coffee shop, but it's actually a credit union. Step inside a "concept" branch, where the walls are covered in photos and everything's bathed in a warm, yellow glow.
Meet the CUA's Carindale Queensland branch. It's designed to make customers feel at home and inspired. The long wooden tables remind us a bit of an Apple Store.
As you can see, the style is all wood and warm tones. CUA wanted an "organic, warm and inviting space for customers to relax". Architectural firm ThomsonAdsett is behind the design.
The photo wall - there is room for up to 1,200 photos. Customers can take them in the branch, or sent them to an email address to be printed and put up on the wall.
Nice to see a customer business choosing something other than blue shirts for its staff.
Staff in the branch won't be confined to desks.
While we're not sure we'd head to a branch for a spot of web browsing, if you're waiting for someone it can't hurt.
Again, handy if you want to rest your legs or you're waiting for a partner to get their banking done.
Another customer area in the CUA branch.
The future of customer interaction? It certainly makes for a good photo opportunity. Time will tell how CUA's customers take to the new concept branch.
