Jabra’s latest Bluetooth headset, the Extreme2, claims to deliver crystal-clear call quality in any environment.

In our testing, the Jabra’s dual microphones worked wonders. On busy streets, the Extreme2 managed to keep voices crisp and intelligible where our phone’s integrated microphone began to struggle, the comfy ear clip staying firmly in place even when we upped our pace to a jog.

At home, with our hi-fi cranked to neighbour-deafening volumes, and a washing machine spinning at full tilt, the Jabra allowed us to continue chatting away comfortably without having to reach for the volume control.

Pairing is simple: an electronic voice talks through the process and also gives vocal feedback on battery status. Jabra claims up to 5hrs 30mins of talk time, and ten days on standby, with the headset recharging via micro-USB.

It isn’t cheap, but for top-notch call quality in the noisiest environments, the Jabra Extreme2 is well worth shelling out for.
