A handy app for finding the cheapest parking

This app takes the hassle and the cost out of finding a car park in the city. It is available on Android and iOS.

Whether you're driving in to visit a client, attend a conference or going into the office as a part of your daily commute, there is nothing more frustrating then paying through the nose for the privilege of parking your car.

Here’s a useful app that will save you time, money and frustration in finding that elusive cheap parking option.

The aptly named, Cheap Parking app, is a free app that trawls through all of the available parking options in the area and returns the cheapest parking option based on the address and the arrival/departure times you entered.

You can even refine the results further by specifying additional facilities you may require such as early birds, car wash parking, undercover parking or even valet parking.

Once you have found the desired parking option, the app will rather helpfully launch your preferred navigation app so you can immediately receive turn-by-turn navigation to the parking spot.

I have been personally using this app in and around Brisbane for the past month and have found it invaluable for discovering cheap parking spots that I would not have otherwise known about.

The app has national coverage and claims to cover all private operators such as Secure Parking, Wilson Parking, Interpark, Pri Park, Care Park, Metro Parking, GreenCo and more in addition to council run metered street parking, shopping centre car parks, hotel car parks and hospital car parks.

It’s worth noting that some user reviews have commented that it doesn’t pick up enough parking options within select areas of Melbourne so your mileage may vary depending on your location.

The app is available now for both Android and iOS devices.
