Optus talks up 4G for Brisbane, Gold Coast

Optus has extended its 4G coverage to more than 100 sites around Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

These areas join "selected areas" of the Brisbane CBD and parts of Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide http://www.bit.com.au/News/326984,optus-unwraps-4g-christmas-present-for-adelaide.aspx , and according to Guenther Ottendorfer, managing director of Optus Networks, the company is preparing to add Canberra to the list (in line with the previously tipped for March or April http://www.bit.com.au/News/325196,optus-4g-coming-to-adelaide-canberra-in-2013.aspx).

Optus has also upgraded its 3G service around the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, and users with 900MHz-capable ('dual band') devices should see an improvement.
