iPhone 5 sales: Here's the list of Optus "key" sale locations

Looking to get hold of an iPhone 5 when it goes on sale tomorrow? Here is what Optus is telling customers.

If you have your eye on a new iPhone 5, but missed out on putting in a pre-order, and you just can't wait a week or two to buy one, then tomorrow is potentially going to be a stressful day.

We've already published a big list of Telstra shops opening early around Australia to sell the iPhone 5. If you're an Optus customer preparing to battle the queues, here is the information we've received from Optus:

  • The iPhone 5 will be "hitting ALL ‘Yes’ Optus stores around the country from 8am, Friday 21 September".
  • If you pre-ordered, you can skip the queues and get "priority pick up".
  • If you pre-ordered, you will get a "special experience" at four locations - people will help you "settle into" your new handset, which we can only assume means they will show you around the settings and features; and there's a takeaway drink and "food bag" and "giveaway item". This is at  280 George St, Sydney, Shop 9, Tattersalls Arcade, 211 -225 Queen St, Brisbane, 253 Bourke St, Melbourne, and 659 Hay St, Perth.
