Evernote Business, why it's good news for list-makers

Evernote Business, why it's good news for list-makers

In our opinion, Evernote is a must-have app on your computer, smartphone or tablet. Now Evernote Business promises to let your team create shared lists.

Evernote is a must-have app on your computer, smartphone or tablet. It makes it easy to capture just about any information you browse past for later use. But later this year, it's aiming to become a core part of your business.

We've recommended Evernote before as an app for capturing notes, images, websites and other information. Now a new Evernote Business version has been announced with tools for creating, sharing and collaborating on information.

So what's the point? Evernote Business is pitched at small businesses who need an easy way to share information. Evernote stores notes in notebooks. With Evernote Business, those notebooks can be allocated to a team. Although notebooks can be shared with the current release of Evernote, Evernote Business centralises control of a shared notebook so that content is instantly available to a workgroup.

Notebooks don't only hold text-based notes. They can hold documents, presentations, images - just about any type of information you need. There's also a business directory so that everyone can easily share a common address book.

There's no word on pricing yet, but Evernote Business is scheduled for a December 2012 release.
