Can't open a file? Here's a handy website that converts files to PDF for you.

Don't you hate it when someone sends you a file in some format that you can't open? This happened to me the other day when a document created in Microsoft Publisher came to me and I couldn't open it on my Mac. Well, there's a solution.

Zamzar is a free service that allows you to upload a file to their service and then convert it something more convenient. In our case, we sent a Publisher file and received it as a PDF.

The number of formats you can receive is extensive and they also have a video download service that allows you to provide the address for an online video and have that sent to you as a standalone file.

The service is easy to use and only took a few minutes in our case. We used the free service that limits the size of files and number we could convert but there are paid versions of the service for larger files and the ability to email a file in rather than needing to upload it.

Zamzar is ad supported but you can remove the ads by signing in to one of their paid options. They start at $7 per month.
