Is your business making money?

Is your business making money?

From today you can enter your business in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50, which is looking for Australian technology companies with the fastest revenue growth.

As we’ve said before, there’s no shortage of awards to take part in if you desperately need to raise the profile of your business.

In some cases there’s a lot of money in it too, though if it’s publicity and profile-building you need, then the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 opens for nominations today.

The awards are for Australian technology companies and unlike some of the other awards we’ve written about – this one is based purely on how much money you’re making. Or more specifically, percentage revenue growth over three years.

There are a few criteria: you need to have been in business for at least three years and you must have operating revenues at least $50,000 for FYE 2010, as well as total cumulative revenues of $8 million during the last three operating years.

If your business doesn’t have that sort of revenue, you might still be in with a shot at the “Rising Star” award, for which you don’t need $8 million in three-year revenue or three years of financial data.

Last year’s winner was Anittel, which provides IT services to businesses.

If you’re looking for publicity, other awards include the Sydney Business Awards, Telstra Australian Business Awards, Telstra Business Women’s Awards, Tech23 and the CRN Fast 50. Read our article about them.
