Tech deal: Get a wireless IP security camera for $59

With a motion detector and night vision, the Kogan Wireless IP Camera is a cheap way of getting some peace of mind about your home office security.

Setting up a video surveillance system used to require a team of technicians and lots of money. Kogan has launched a new range of wireless cameras that can make it easy to create your own office or store video security system.

The Kogan Wireless IP Camera isn't a high-end camera but will probably suffice in most offices. Although it's limited to a resolution of just 640 by 480 it does support night vision via 10 InfraRed LEDs.

Although it's only $59 it has a motion detector so it only records when there's something to record. It can also send email alerts when movement is detected and you can view footage remotely via a web browser using either Windows or a Mac. The camera can also be accessed using a free Andoid or iPhone app.

The camera connects to your network wirelessly or via Ethernet and can capture sound as well as images.

The first batch of cameras has already sold out but you can order now for the next batch that are arriving in the middle of September.
