Telstra launching Australia’s "first 4G smartphone for business"

What’s a "Business" phone you ask? We’re interested to find out too.

If you’re a small business, there’s no need to restrict yourself to the “business” category when looking for tech hardware. Laptops are a good example.

What about phones? There was once a fairly obvious distinction between “work” phones and phones for everyone else. Slide out, or built in physical keyboards were a usual giveaway on devices like the Nokia E71 or various BlackBerrys.

That distinction started blurring a while ago - now a lot of popular smartphones are equally as useful for work as they are for anything else. Manufacturers have realised this. Blackberry is a much more consumer friendly device than it once was.

So it’s with interest that we received an invitation from Telstra to an event next week to launch Australia’s first "FIRST 4G SMARTPHONE FOR BUSINESS".

Note that Telstra already offers the HTC One X on 4G. We’ll keep you posted on what they have up their sleeves. The push for Windows Phones for business is on, we guess.
