Overall:

An extremely easy to set up powerline networking kit, though there is one annoyance to watch out for.

Powerline is an excellent networking option for any environment where Wi-Fi may be too slow or too unreliable, as John Gillooly explained in the cover feature of the July 2012 issue of PC & Tech Authority magazine.

Netgear’s Nano 500 powerline set has two of the high-end AV500 powerline adaptors along with Ethernet cable and it’s a great starter pack.

The AV500 are extremely easy to set up and fast enough to handle HDTV video streams.

However, we found the design frustrating, with the bottom cable slot making this a little hard to use on low-sitting power points.
