For the diary: Tax, setting up online and making customers feel satsified

Thinking about starting a new business, selling online or need basic financial advice? Here are some upcoming events to put in your diary.

Here are some events over the month of June that could help you with your business: from getting the most out of your tax returns to understanding the essentials of online commerce.

Tax return seminars for NSW and QLD

If your business is based in NSW or Queensland, you may want to take advantage of a series of tax return seminars run by the Queensland Office of State Revenue (OSR). For the rest of the month, businesses are invited to attend free one-on-one information sessions to help them stay on track with tax obligations.

In addition to having your specific tax questions answered, the seminars also provide an overview of payroll tax in Queensland and New South Wales, explain how to lodge 2011–12 annual returns in Queensland and provide information about using payroll tax online services to lodge New South Wales 2011–12 annual reconciliation.

Speakers at the event include leading online retailer Ruslan Kogan, BigCommerce's Eddie Machaalani and Oobi Baby & Kids. Topics on the agenda include how customers use the internet to research purchases, how to choose the right ecommerce solutions for your business, transitioning to on-line sales.
