For the diary: how to build a brand

Not something that every business thinks about, but if you’re looking to expand your business, this advice might be useful.

 

Reputation is everything if you’re going to make a web site a viable business proposition.

With that comes your brand. It’s a word associated with Fortune 500 companies, but if you have a web site and sell online, then you should be thinking about it too.

While there’s plenty of marketing people who’ll preach to you about this, this info session grabbed our attention because it’s being run by IP Australia. Consequently, the focus looks at issues like trademarks and how to protect your brand.

Timely advice, we’d argue. If it can happen to Apple, it can happen to you.
