Oracle has announced support for Apple iPad and iPhone devices with the launch of Business Intelligence Release 11.1.1.5.
Users will now be able to enjoy Oracle business intelligence (BI) capabilities on the go, including alert, ad hoc analysis, reporting and scorecards.
Users will also be able remotely control business processes and workflows from their iPhone or iPad, which Oracle claims will help better support more “agile” organisations.
Oracle has introduced a refreshed version of BI Applications too. With release 7.9.6.3, users get a wider selection of interactive charting and prompting capabilities. Integrated systems management and maintenance tools are also on offer.
“These new Oracle Business Intelligence product releases build upon the success of Oracle BI 11g and provide customers a wide range of new capabilities that extend intelligence to the iPad and iPhone, offer more powerful visualisation, interactivity, performance and scalability features to their ERP and CRM applications, and optimise customer interactions and decisions in real-time,” said Paul Rodwick, vice president of product management for Oracle’s BI division.
Oracle has also launched a new application within Real-Time Decisions Release 3.1 named Decision Manager. It is designed to assist operational decision-making in customer-facing scenarios.
Amongst other features, the app lets administrators search and manage catalogues of campaigns, offers and products. Users can also take advantage of data analysis functionality to make better-informed decisions.
